  7. I believe you can figure out how this thing works by playing with it a bit. If you‚Äôre having trouble (probably the only reason you're reading this), here are a few notes...

  9. Delay time calculations:

  11. If you know the BPM:
  12.  
  13. Simply enter the BPM into the BPM box and press enter or return.
  14.  
  15. If you know the Digital Metronome setting:
  16.  
  17. Enter the setting into the Dig. Met. box and press enter or return.

  19. Otherwise:

The Calculation Menu     provides two methods for calculating the BPM. Using the "Tap Tempo" Method, click the "Click Beats" button, or press the [space bar], in time with the track. You will see the BPM being calculated with each click as well as the number of beats so far in the calculation. If you miss a beat or would simply like to start again, click the "Reset" button or press [delete]. To accept the newly calculated BPM press "OK" or [enter].

The second method is the "Time Beats" method. The first field in this dialog should be set to the number of full beats you are going to time. Click the "Start Timer" button on a beat and begin counting on the next. Click the "Stop Timer" button on the count of the number shown in the first field. The second field allows you to time this number of beats with your own stop watch and enter the result. As with "Tap Tempo", the "OK" button accepts this new timing and calculates the new BPM. "Cancel" will return you to the main window with no change.

  27. You can select ‚ÄúPrint‚Äù from the File Menu to get a hard copy of the BPMCalc figures.

  32. Creating, opening, and saving files in BPMCalc is the same as any standard MAC application. I would recommend you create a folder for each artist for whom you are going to save calculations, and then name the files the same as the song names.
